SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Central New York charities got a big boost in their search for volunteers.
A volunteer fair was held at Destiny USA Tuesday. About 60 non-profit and community organizations took part, from bigger names like the Rescue Mission and Salvation Army to lesser known groups that operate animal shelters or literacy programs.
"There's something for everybody. What we're hoping is, we're going to be able to put those organizations in touch with individuals who would like to help and give back to their community," said Assemblyman William Magnarelli.
This was the fourth year for the volunteer fair.
