ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- More evidence of the EEE virus has been discovered in Onondaga County.
According to the New York State Health Department, the virus was found in a mosquito pool at the East Taft Road trap on September 10.
County officials said they will not spray the area because temperatures are colder, and the mosquito counts typically decrease during the fall season.
Health officials encourage people to wear long pants and long sleeved shirts when they are outside. They also suggest using a mosquito repellent that contains DEET.
