SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The New York State Department of Transportation has announced their first neighborhood meeting about the future of Interstate 81.
The meeting will be held next Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Toomey Abbott Towers in the city's south side neighborhood.
The neighborhood meetings are designed to give residents a chance to learn about the ongoing environmental review as well as to educate them on how to get involved in the project. The meeting will include a presentation from the DOT, as well as a chance for residents to ask questions or express their thoughts on the project.
Other meetings are also planned to take place on the north side, east side, west side, downtown, DeWitt and the Salina/Liverpool area.
