NORTH COUNTRY, N.Y. -- The North Country Regional Economic Development Council has announced 21 priority projects that they will be submitting to Governor Andrew Cuomo for funding.
In the first two rounds of state funding, the North Country came out near the top and has funded a variety of projects. Regional economic development councils around the state are competing for their share of three quarters of a billion dollars.
Among the projects being put forth in the North Country are the Plattsburgh Airport Terminal, Hotel Saranac, the Whiteface Highway and the Croghan Dam. Award money is typically announced in December.
