SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse teenager accused of brutally beating an elderly man is back in jail.
The proceedings for Romeo Williams, 18, were pushed back another day after a brief appearance at Onondaga County Court on Wednesday morning.
Williams is charged with criminal possession of a weapon, and second degree assault after attacking a 70-year-old man at the 7-Eleven on Valley Drive.
The victim, Jim Gifford, was severely injured. Police said he was knocked unconscious and repeatedly punched and kicked on the ground. He remains hospitalized in critical condition.
