WHITESTOWN, N.Y. -- The son of Whitestown justice is scheduled to appear in court after he allegedly tortured kittens.
According to police, Joseph Sullivan, 19, was found in a women's bathroom at Gibson Road Town Park with two kittens. They said one of the kittens had scotch tape wrapped around its legs. Investigators also found a lighter and a cardboard box in the restroom.
Sullivan found the kittens on Craigslist and was bringing them to a friend's house when he decided to stop at the bathroom to keep the kittens from getting out of the box.
After the tape was removed, the kittens appeared to be okay.
Sullivan faces a charge of torturing an animal under State Agriculture and Markets Law.
