HERKIMER COUNTY, N.Y. --Police made a number of arrests following vandalism in Dolgeville.
According to investigators, 14 people, mostly juveniles, broke into several buildings in the village. Police say they vandalized and destroyed property, stole items including security cameras, gem stones and alcohol and even defecated and urinated inside. One business owner estimated the damage at more than $42,000.
Eleven of the suspects range in age from 12- to 15-years-old. They all face charges ranging from criminal mischief and criminal trespass to third degree burglary.
Two 16-year-olds were also arrested. Oone charged with burglary and both with criminal trespass.
Also, Dylan Balderston, 21, has been charged with criminal trespass and providing a false written statement.
