JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- More than 500 Jefferson and Lewis County high school students take a trip to Jefferson Community College for a lesson in where to continue their education once they graduate.
More than 100 colleges were represented at this year's Higher Education Day. Two panels presented by JCC college students provided information to the high schoolers about things like athletic programs and financial aid.
For students who are looking for a different experience right out of high school, various organizations and groups were also present to answer questions and fill kids in on what else is out there.
"We have two year community colleges represented here today and have technology colleges represented that have more hands on type majors. And we also have military organizations represented as well. So kids can choose various different paths and learn about various different paths by attending today's event," said Ryan Tastor, JCC Higher Education Day Chairperson.
Students who weren't bused to the college during the day Monday were able to attend an evening session with their parents.
