SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The man who admitted to killing a woman and raping a young girl in Clay pleads guilty to federal child pornography charges.
David Renz pleaded guilty to multiple counts of receipt and possession of child pornography.
FBI investigators say they found thousands of illegal images and videos on his computer. Renz was put under house arrest, wearing a bracelet monitor while he awaited action on the child pornography case.
It's the same bracelet he removed before killing Lori Bresnahan and assaulting a ten-year-old child at the Great Northern Mall last March.
He pleaded guilty to murder and predatory sexual assault in that case. He's scheduled to be sentenced to life without parole next month.
Sentencing in the child pornography case, meanwhile, is set for February.
