POTSDAM, N.Y. -- A Canton man faces charges following a two car crash in the Town of Potsdam. It happened on State Route 310 Friday afternoon.
State Police say Douglas Matthews, 32, forced another vehicle off the road. His vehicle then landed on top of the other.
The driver of the first vehicle, Susan Latimer, 65, was flown to a Vermont hospital, where she's listed in stable condition. Her passengers, Jenelle Matthews, 32, and two children, were taken to a local hospital for treatment. They're expected to be okay.
Police say Douglas Matthews refused treatment. He's now charged with first degree assault, four counts of first degree reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child for the crash. Matthews also faces charges from a domestic dispute that happened earlier in the day in Canton. He was arraigned and sent to the county jail on $100,000 bail.
