NEW BREMEN, N.Y. - It's been four years since fans have been able to watch their favorite race car drivers at the Adirondack International Speedway, and sadly they will have to wait a little while longer thanks to heavy rain.
The speedway was forced to shut down its operations after the 2009 season.
Tax disputes and lawsuits over grant money were the main reasons why local fans were left without a track to call home.
Before the rain caused a wash out, fans we spoke with were thrilled to be back in the stands.
Lowville Resident Chris Spencer said "I totally love being back here. I so hope that they race on Sundays because that's my only day off and I miss going to the Mills but today is like a treat for me...I love it!"
The race has been rescheduled for October 19th.
