LIVERPOOL, N.Y. -- People packed Long Branch Park on Sunday for the 53rd annual Great Oktoberfest in Liverpool.
It has been nearly 30 years since the festival was held at Long Branch Park. On Sunday, people indulged in cultural performances, German food, and plenty of beer.
According to organizers, they wanted to make sure festival goers could sample everything.
"We just have some great food and we have some great beer. And we also have taste of Oktoberfest, so you can go up there for a dollar and taste all the food, if you want to taste it before you eat it," said Klaus Raither, Oktoberfest organizer.
There were also activities for kids, including face painting and a performance by the Twin Magicians.
