SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The man accused of shooting his sister appeared in court on Monday morning.
Lamonte Williams, 21, was arraigned on charges of first degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
According to detectives, he shot his sister, Larae Williams, in the face on Saturday morning. It happened at their home on North Midler Avenue.
Larae remains in serious condition after undergoing surgery. The judge issued an order of protection on her behalf.
Lamonte's bail is set at $500,000 cash, or a $1 million bond.
