SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A repeat sex offender returned to court to face a 22-count indictment Tuesday.
Mark Carrigan was arraigned on that indictment in a case involving four victims. He faces a wide range of charges, including 2nd and 3rd degree sex abuse and use of a child for a sexual performance.
Carrigan was also arrested this past summer in a sex abuse case and has a criminal record dating back to the late 1980s.
Prosecutors say he could be facing serious time behind bars based on the charges.
"It is a C felony, so the sentence he faces is elevated if he were convicted of a C Felony," explained Tony Germano, Assistant District Attorney.
The judge ordered Carrigan be held without bail until his next appearance in November.
