ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A group home counselor was arrested for allegedly having sexual contact with a 16-year-old resident.
Police have arrested Markeen Chaplin, 21, of Syracuse. Officials say he was working for Toomey Residential and Community Services in Camillus.
Deputies say the incident was reported to the Vulnerable Persons Central Register Hotline and was later turned over to Onondaga County Sheriff Deputies.
Chaplin has been charged with criminal sex act and endangering the welfare of a child.
Deputies believe there may be other victims of Chaplin and they are encouraging any victims or anyone with information to contact detectives in the abused persons unit by calling (315) 435-3092.
