ITHACA, N.Y. -- A man was hospitalized following a shooting in Ithaca.
Officers responded to a call for shots fired in the area of West Green Street and South Plain Street just after 7 p.m. Monday. They found a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound lying in the street. He was taken to an area hospital for surgery. There is no word on his current condition.
Police say the victim was arguing with another man on the street before he was shot. They're not releasing any information about a possible suspect, but they say investigators are now following up on a number of leads.
