ONEIDA, N.Y. -- The Central New York Ride for Missing Children achieved major success during this year's event.
The bike ride through the Mohawk Valley in May surpassed its fundraising goal. The event raised more than $400,000 for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Since the ride started in 1995, thousands of students have been educated about abduction prevention. More than 8 million missing children posters have been posted, and more than 6,000 over those children have been found.
Next year's ride is scheduled for May 16.
