SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Excitement is already building for the Syracuse University basketball team's first season in the ACC.
The general public will have an opportunity to purchase tickets to individual games starting Wednesday. However, seats to those high demand games may be difficult to find.
Season ticket holders and alumni could start buying tickets on Tuesday. Some people lined up as early as 7:30 a.m. in hopes of seeing Duke play at the Carrier Dome in February. Despite the wait, most people walked away with 300 level seats labeled "long range view".
However, fans said they could not pass up the chance to witness the beginning of a new rivalry.
"Duke is Duke. Either you hate Duke or you love Duke, and let's put it this way: I want SU to beat Duke real bad. So, I had to get my tickets, had to be here," said Thom Fox, an SU fan.
According to the university, better seats are available if you buy a six pack of tickets or season packages. Single game tickets go on sale for the general public at 10 a.m.
