ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y.-- The three people charged last week in connection with an alleged sex-trafficking ring in Upstate New York were in court Monday morning.
Prosecutors say as teenagers as young as 15 were being forced into prostitution.
Syracuse resident Eric Oliver, 30, the accused ring leader pleaded not guilty to sex trafficking, compelling prostitution, promoting prostitution, third degree rape and conspiracy.
Oliver is a level two registered sex offender and is being held without bail.
Syracuse resident Tirra Pate, 19, is also accused of sex trafficking. A not guilty plea was entered on her behalf this morning and bail was set at $15,000.
Cicero resident Jessica Moro, 19, is also charged with promoting prostitution and has already posted $25,000 bail.
All three are next scheduled to be in court December 20th.
