LAFAYETTE, N.Y. -- Polls are open until 8 p.m. tonight in the LaFayette School District, where people are being asked to vote on a $12 million capital improvement project.
The project would address safety and security issues at Grimshaw Elementary and the Jr./Sr. High School. It would put double entries at all doors at all the entrances, realign classrooms, and also improve the auditorium.
Administrators say the project is fully funded by state and federal dollars, so the cost won't be passed on to taxpayers.
LaFayette residents can vote at Grimshaw's main office foyer anytime before 8 p.m.
