SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The owners of a camera left behind at Dinosaur Bar-B-Que in Syracuse have been located. Staff at the restaurant found the camera during the weekend of October 5.
The employees noticed several pictures taken from around the world, and posted about the missing camera on the restaurant's Facebook page. The post quickly went viral, and accumulated more than 100,000 views and 2,300 shares.
According to the restaurant's public relations manager, a couple from Springfield, Missouri came forward to claim the camera. The couple ate at the restaurant before taking their flight home. When they realized they're camera was missing, they couldn't remember where they left it and assumed it was gone for good.
A former Syracuse woman who now lives in Missouri recognized one of the men in the pictures as a coworker, and helped make the connection. Dinosaur Bar-B-Que is shipping the camera back to its owners.
