WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- Only days away from elections, candidates are making the rounds, hoping to connect with as many people as they can.
And for organizations, it's a chance to get their members in front of numerous candidates all at once.
The Tri-County Chapter of the Women's Council of Realtors hosted a lunch Thursday and invited the four candidates in Watertown's City Council race, as well as some county board candidates in Jefferson and Lewis counties.
The luncheon may be a requirement for the organization, but the opportunity to have so many candidates there was pretty important.
"We all live in different areas and we're all affected in different ways. It gives everyone different chances to listen to what the candidate may offer for that area and what they may do for that area. You can take that back," said Vickie Staie, WCR Tri-County Chapter President.
The candidates say it's also nice to be able to reach a group of people all at once to learn about those differences and what they can do to help.
