UTICA, N.Y. -- Several Utica police officers were injured during pursuit of a Utica teenager.
According to police, they were called to Mohawk Street for reports of a teen with a gun in his waistband on Thursday afternoon. When officers arrived, the teen started to flee.
Police said they followed the suspect for several blocks before they were able to catch up to him. During the pursuit, one officer suffered a knee injury while jumping over a fence, one officer injured his shoulder after falling on wet ground, and a third officer injured his hand.
The suspect has been charged with obstructing governmental administration, and resisting arrest.
