It’s already the sixth day of the New York State Fair, which means it’s Beef Day! There will be cooking competitions today and food demonstrations to look forward to, and you can find the winning recipes posted here later in the day. It’s also another Senior Day, so senior citizens can visit the fair for free.

Attendance on Dairy Day (Monday) was down by more than 30,000 visitors. Maybe the dreary weather was to blame, but that shouldn’t be a problem today! YNN meteorologists say it’ll be cooler and less humid today, with just the risk for a spotty shower and highs in the upper 70s to near 80s. That doesn’t sound bad at all!

Does the sound of ‘Beef Day’ make you hungry? Well, you’re in luck if you’re planning to visit the State Fair. Hmmmm…what to eat? What to eat?

There’s the Cuomo Burger… “Putting the beef back into New York!” 1/3 pound fresh sirloin burger, melted cheese, grilled onions, 1/3 pound fresh slice London broil on a bun.

If that’s not your thing, there are plenty of other burger options to enjoy on Beef Day! The Mac & Cheese Burger is topped with deep fried macaroni and cheese. There's also the Big Kahuna Donut Burger.

Or maybe go for the Hot Beef Sundae: mashed potatoes, topped with roast beef, gravy, shredded cheddar, and a cherry tomato on top!
