Living Floral Trees

By: Web Staff

Strolling entertainment is a special thing to run into at the fair. Sometimes, you may find yourself just gazing at a tree…and then…it starts to move! WHAT?!

Living Floral Trees

This is something new to the fair this year: Living Floral Trees. I mentioned in an earlier blog that I was hoping to see these…and I got my wish today!

Living Floral Trees

I have to admit, they’re a little creepy to watch, but only because they are such great performers! I almost walked past them, but I noticed one starting to move off of a nearby tree. The performers are on high stilts, wrapped in vines and flowers, with painted faces. They move surprisingly gracefully (especially being on stilts!), and use their limbs as if they are branches reaching towards the sun.

Living Floral Trees

Try to find the Living Floral Trees, if you can spot them! They’re out at 12:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m.

Other strolling entertainers include Bandaloni, the one-man band, and Hilby.
