If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, why not head out to the fairgrounds and enjoy the nightlife? A lot of people in this area say that the New York State Fair is the unofficial end of summer, and with our warm days dwindling, it’s a good time to get outside and enjoy it while it lasts!
The fairgrounds take on a different atmosphere in the evening. Rides and stands start to turn on their lights, casting glowing shadows on fairgoers. Plus, the temperature cools down, and hot fried foods don’t seem like such a bad idea anymore!
You’ll start to see longer lines at the wine and beer tent areas, but it’s worth the wait. Some wine slushie vendors even hand out colorful bead necklaces, adding to the festive spirit.
Maybe you want a peek into your future. Mrs. Walker, a psychic reader and advisor, will give you a glance starting at $10, if that’s your thing. Personally, I would want to know which deep fried specialty is in my near-future. Maybe it would be a deep fried peanut butter, banana, and bacon sandwich. I think Elvis would approve.
When your stomach settles, you could always hop onto a ride in the twilight. I bet the view is stunning from these high swings!
And…you can always dance!
