Are you a fan of maple syrup? Or anything maple-flavored, for that matter? Then make sure to put the Horticulture Building on your list of places to visit at the NY State Fair!

The smell is intoxicating…the warm, sweet, comforting scent of maple syrup is like a cloud in the air in that part of the building. It’s all New York maple syrup and maple products, and the list is long of things to try!

My favorite thing is the freshly spun maple cotton candy. They are handing out free samples throughout the day to anyone who wants to give it a taste, and it is fantastic! There’s nothing artificial about the flavor, and it’s perfectly sweet. Give it a try!

There are luscious maple creams to taste, and even an array of maple sugars. Plus, maple barbecue sauces and maple glazed nuts! And of course, the lovely maple candies that we often get during the holidays.

Or if that’s not your thing, there are delicious maple donuts to tickle your palate.

If you’re trying to ward off the heat, there are maple products for you, too. Maple ice cream and maple milkshakes top my list of ‘must try’ treats!
