NEW YORK STATE FAIR -- Day 11 at the fair is CSEA Day. The Civil Service Employees Association is one of the largest unions in the United States. In Syracuse alone, CSEA has about 35,000 members.

The union has a booth located in the Center of Progress. A representative said they're here to remind people that they are not just a union, but also a big part of the community.

"Our members work hard everyday to make sure your children are safe, the people in nursing homes are safe, that the highways are safe, and the jails are safe. We are out there every day doing our job, we want the public to realize we are necessary and vital," said Danny Donohue, CSEA President.
