Despite a large crowd Sunday at the fair, overall attendance has been down compared to the last few years, but you'd have to admit, some great weather has made it a very enjoyable year for everyone that has been able to make it out here.

In the Horticulture Building they are mixing some education with entertainment at the Aquaponics display. Aqua Vita Farms out of Sherill, New York is showing fairgoers just how the food chain works with their fish.

Another family friendly event at the fair is the Walker Brother's Circus. The 45 minute show at the Adventure Zone is pure excitement, as the ringmaster breathes flames into the air.

A new show at the State Fair aims to make history fun. At the Great Lakes Timber Show there are a number of demonstrations including ax throwing, cross cut sawing, and modified power sawing.

Day 11 at the fair is CSEA Day. The Civil Service Employees Association is one of the largest unions in the United States. In Syracuse alone, CSEA has about 35,000 members.
