Senators debate power struggle on Capital Tonight
ALBANY, N.Y. -- Two senators from opposite sides of the leadership dispute sat side-by-side to debate the matter.

Democratic Senator Eric Schneiderman of Manhattan and Republican Senator John DeFrancisco of Syracuse went head-to-head live on Capital Tonight Wednesday.

Schneiderman said, "We have to negotiate power sharing. We have to negotiate shared resources. Getting through the special session won't solve that problem, John. But we're never going to pass these bills unless you guys agree to rules for this session."

DeFrancisco said, "It would seem as if the Democrats truly felt they were correct about the power, who's in power, they would be more than happy to have that arbitration. They went into court to get that issue resolved."
