The Spa Spot: Travers picnic tables will benefit charities
For the third year, NYRA is offering fans the chance to reserve picnic tables for Travers Day, August 25, with a program that will benefit backstretch charities.
NYRA announced in a press release that 50 tables - 10 percent of the total - have been set aside for use in the fundraiser. The registration period closes on Monday, August 13. If selected from the entries, registrants will be able to reserve a table for a fee of $100, which will go to the backstretch charities from the racing association.
