Non-violence conference coming to Binghamton
BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Nonviolent Communication Training, or NVC, is a weeklong seminar that costs more than $1,000 to attend. But Binghamton-area residents will only pay $50, a gift organizers say is to help the post-ACA healing process.
This is the 6th annual NVC, which will be held from June 20 to the 27 at Binghamton University. Several internationally renowned trainers will be in attendance. NVC was developed by Dr. Marshall Rosenberg as a way to express feelings and emotions peacefully, an important tool he believes in the wake of so much tragedy.

"What happened was a violent act. The man was obviously suffering and in pain and we want to provide help and education to those people in pain to help them take different actions, "NVC educator Monroe Judkovics.
Thirteen people were killed in the attack just about two months ago, and the shooter then took his own life.
