Syracuse Americanization League reacts to Binghamton shootings
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Americanization League in Syracuse does work similar to Binghamton's American Civic Association. Staff helps clients navigate the paperwork and process necessary to become citizens. They say the clients are hard-working people who want to live the American dream.

Staff says their prayers go out to the Binghamton shooting victims and their families. They say they hope the incident doesn't stop other would-be citizens from getting the help they need.

"I know, sometimes people think about those things, like what if I go here and something happens. I just hope it wouldn't stop them because things happen, but you just have to do on and hope for the best," said Monica Dornford.
