BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- The families of those who lost their lives during last year's shooting at the American Civic Association are urging the public go online and vote for them to win a $50,000 Pepsi Refresh Everything grant.

Voting starts at midnight Wednesday and will go through until New Year's Eve.

If the group gets in the top ten, they'll win $50,000, which will go toward a $200,000 memorial park planned to honor the victims.

The park will be located at the intersection of Front and Clinton Streets in Binghamton. Organizers hope for construction to get underway next spring.
