ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- In North Syracuse, budget cuts have carried over year to year. District officials said cuts will need to be made to expenditures, on top of the $15.2 million that have been cut over the past three years. 200 positions were cut, and another 95 could be eliminated.
District officials are trying to keep the lines of communication open about the situation they face.
"And really what we are trying to do is get enough feedback from all of our stakeholders to then go back to the drawing board and say ok, based on where we want to go, how do we get there and achieve that goal," said Kim J. Dyce Faucette, superintendent.
The North Syracuse School District needs to adopt a budget by April 16th.
