Sky Battle, Part 1 - Mercy Flight vs. Air 1

There is a silent air war above us as one medevac helicopter service accuses another of stealing calls. Mercy Flight Central of Canandaguia says the Onondaga County Sheriff's Department is bumping them from accident scenes for the sake of publicity. Joleene Des Rosiers investigates the accusation and the federal lawsuit that could prevent the Sheriff's Air-1 from transporting injured patients in their hour of need.

Sky Battle, Part 2 - Mercy Flight vs. Air 1

A silent air war continues above us as one helicopter rescue service sues another. Mercy Flight Central of Canandaigua says the Onondaga County Sheriff's Department is flying its police helicopter illegally. In part 2 of Sky Battle, Joleene Des Rosiers looks into the regulations in question under the Federal Aviation Act, regulations that seem to have more than one interpretation.

Sky Battle, Part 3 - Mercy Flight vs. Air 1

The Onondaga County Sheriff's Department is named in a federal lawsuit that accuses them of stealing air medevac calls over Mercy Flight Central, a complete medevac service. Mercy Flight Central of Canandaguia claims the Onondaga County Sheriff's Department is violating the Federal Aviation Act by jumping calls to keep their chopper off the county's budget chopping-block. Mercy Flight is also suing TLC Emergency Medical Services, which dispatches medevac helicopters to accident and rescue scenes. In Part 3 of Sky Battle, Joleene Des Rosiers explores the accusations, and takes us inside TLC's so-called 'Clearinghouse.'
