Woodstock was not the first large scale concert of its time. There had been the Newport Folk Festival and the Monterey pop festival, but in many ways, Woodstock would be the last, as art and commerce would start to go their separate ways. Stephanie Simon recently caught up a with a couple of the producers to get their perspectives on the event.
