Flynn, Harris and Devendorf off to NBA?
According to the agent for several former SU basketball players Jonny Flynn is not coming back to the Orange next year. Getting set to sign with Lebron James agent after Lebron himself called Flynn to sweeten the pot with a marketing deal...
And it looks like Jonny won't be the only one leaving early for the NBA. Sports agent Bill Neff tells me he heard through the grapevine that Lebron's call helped his attorney Leon Rose snatch Flynn away from big-time agent Arn Tellem. And that Flynn is expected to sign with Rose sometime this week.
If and when that happens, Jonny will not be eligible to come back to SU next year, something he and Coach Boeheim both said he wanted to do just a couple weeks ago.
Flynn would be the toughest guy to replace but maybe not the only one. Neff also says he's heard Eric Devendorf is planning to sign with his former AAU coach turned agent Chris Grier-Lukie in the near future. Grier-Lukie also represents Tyson Chandler. Devendorf would forfeit his final season if he does so.
And as for Paul Harris, Neff says he hasn't signed with an agent yet but that he's looking hard.
Harris, Devendorf, and Flynn were SU's top three scorers last season...
