BUFFALO, N.Y. -- In a matchup of the two premier lacrosse regions in both the state and country, the Central scholastic men's team beat Long Island 8-7 in overtime Saturday in the Empire State Games at Canisius College.
Carthage native Thomas Grimm scored the winning goal to bail out the Central team after it blew a 5-0 third-quarter lead. Corning East's Tyler White made 11 saves for Central.
