SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- After two years in Utica, the Section III basketball championships are coming back to Syracuse.

Fittingly, the announcement was made at the Carrier Dome Wednesday morning that both the boys and girls 2012 championships will be under the bubble March 1-4 next year.

The Manley Field House renovation sent the championships out to Utica the last two seasons and attendance was cut almost in half.

The Dome actually hosted an early-season quadruple-header last December, but giving kids a chance to win a title there will be something else.

Section III also announced next year's wrestling and indoor track championships will be held at OCC's brand new SRC Arena, which is scheduled to be done by the end of this year.
