The B-Mets had their 5-game win streak snapped in game one but came back to take the nightcap and earn a doubleheader sweep with New Hampshire Thursday night.

Binghamton lost the opener in extra innings 5-3 despite Allan Dykstra's 11th homerun of the season. Four errors in the game led to the demise of the B-Mets' five-game winning streak. But in the nightcap starting pitcher Roy Merritt struck out four batters in four shutout innings and Binghamton scored the only run of the game on a fielder's choice groundout in the second inning.

The B-Mets won game two 1-0 to earn the split and stay 20 games under the .500 mark for the season.
