ROCHESTER - Anxious to defend the NASCAR Sprint Cup race he won at Watkins Glen last year, Juan Pablo Montoya made a stop in the Rochester area on Thursday to promote this year's event.
Montoya first visited the New York Wine and Culinary Center in Canandaigua to promote good teamwork among a group of youth chefs, and then hit up Rochester for an exclusive question-and-answer session with about 25 longtime Watkins Glen ticket holders.
The Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen is scheduled for Sunday, August 14. Montoya led 74 of 90 laps in last year's race, claiming his second Sprint Cup Series victory and first since 2007.
