The Syracuse basketball team pulled away from a 30-30 halftime tie to beat the College of Saint Rose in its final exhibition game Tuesday night, 87-69.
The Golden Knights rallied from 13 points down in the first half to tie the score at halftime and briefly held the lead in the opening minutes of the second half.
Senior Kris Joseph led the Orange with 12 points as fourteen players found the scoring column for Syracuse. Freshman guard Michael Carter-Williams added 11 points, all in the second half, as the Orange survived their final tuneup of the preseason.
SU opens the regular season at home against Fordham Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
