SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Making his first collegiate appearance and start on Saturday, true freshman goalie Bobby Wardwell made nine saves and got just enough offensive support as the No. 17 Syracuse men's lacrosse team beat No. 11 Princeton 10-9.
Tommy Palasek again led the offense with four goals and an assist as the Orange ended a two-game losing streak and improved to 5-4 overall.
Next up for Syracuse is a trip to No. 5 Cornell Tuesday night. Time Warner Cable Sports will telecast the game beginning at 7 p.m.
