HAMILTON, N.Y. - Central New York hasn't seen a scorer as prolific as Peter Baum in a long time. The Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year has a nation-leading 51 goals and 68 points. He's the first player in the CNY area to score 50 plus goals since Tom Marachek for SU in 1991.

Baum doesn't come from a traditional lacrosse area. He was a standout player in Portland, Oregon but has plenty of Colgate roots. His mother and father both went to Colgate and his dad played lacrosse for the Raiders. Brian Mueller has the story of how this west coast transplant is making an impact here in CNY.
