ROCHESTER, N.Y. - With an early 11 a.m. start time on Thursday, the Syracuse Chiefs rolled out of bed and rolled over Rochester with a 17-9 victory at Frontier Field.
The 17 runs marked a season-high for Syracuse, as did its 22 hits and 11 extra-base hits. All nine batters in the starting lineup recorded at least one hit and one run, seven had at multi-hit game, three had a four-hit performance, and four hit a home run.
The win gives the Chiefs another chance to notch back-to-back wins for the first time this month when they play the series finale Friday starting at 7:05 p.m. The game will be televised on Time Warner Cable Sports.
