SKANEATELES, N.Y. - The Skaneateles football team is ready to move past 2011's distractions and focus on a successful 2012 season. Last year, the Lakers finished 9-0 but were disqualified before the Section III Class C title game amid allegations of recruiting by former coach Tim Green.

The 2012 team says they're not going to worry about last year, but they are motivated to repeat their success and earn another chance to play for a sectional title.
