ALBANY, N.Y. - The Colgate football team could not hold an early lead at UAlbany and opened its season with a 40-23 loss on Saturday night.
The Raiders led 10-0 in the second quarter before the Great Danes scored 23-straight points to pull ahead.
For Colgate, Jordan McCord rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries, Gavin McCarney threw for 257 yards with a touchdown and an interception, and Daniel Cason caught seven passes for 144 yards.
