KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Former Colgate running back Nate Eachus has gone from undrafted longshot to NFL player, making the cut for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Eachus' hard-nosed and team-first style that he displayed over four years running for the Raiders impressed the Chiefs' coaches and players and he could not be ignored after rushing for 206 yards during the preseason, the third-highest total in the NFL.

Kansas City's season-opener is Sunday at home against Atlanta, then Eachus will return to New York when the Chiefs visit the Bills in Week 2.
