CORTLAND, N.Y. - Montclair State did a great job containing Cortland's powerful offense on Saturday but the Red Dragons' defense was even more dominant in a 20-0 win--the first shutout suffered by the Red Hawks in 144 games dating back to 1998.
Cortland came in averaging 53 points per game, the second-highest number in all of NCAA Division III, but was held scoreless after taking a 20-0 lead in the second quarter.
The victory improves the Red Dragons to 3-1 overall and 3-0 in the NJAC.
